We’re celebrating a season of giving thanks for all that God has done for us. This year, I have been particularly thankful for the Word of God, the Bible. The holy Scriptures have been a fresh breath in my laboring lungs, life in my exhaustion, light in difficult times, and a sword for spiritual warfare.
I have studied quite a bit this year about the Bible in general and why it is trustworthy. I have contributed several social media articles in a series with Women in Apologetics on this topic and will be providing a more in-depth version of the research in a series through 2025 here, on why we can trust the Bible. I desire to help others grow in their knowledge and thankfulness of the gift of Scripture – God’s Word to each of us.
DEVOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY: Reading Through the Word and Writing Through the Word devotional options are available at the bottom of the Resources page. Reading Through the Word has two, one-year reading plans that allow the reading to go through either the Old Testament in one year or the New Testament in one year. They can be combined to read through the entire Bible. The Writing Through the Word devotional option is available at the bottom of the Resources page as well and provides a writing plan that works through the entire book of Titus and the entire book of Acts in one year. When we write things down or take notes, it stimulates a part of our brain that helps with memory and creates a pathway of enhanced comprehension and retention (see the Oxford Learning website). Using this method, the same passage will be read multiple days in a row and each day, parts of the passage will be copied – just a few verses at a time.
The devotional plan will be released each month to our subscribers before the start of the month, but is also available on the Resources page as a free downloadable PDF.
SUBSCRIBE TO STAY CONNECTED: Be sure to sign up (at the bottom of the page) as a subscriber to receive an email notification of each new article and the devotional plans.
